Cut-out poetry taken from the informational leaflet that comes with my birth control pills. Written after my first month taking them to reduce bleeding and pain. I was feeling dysphoric to have to take them, but hopeful for some of the listed "negative" side-effects.

I cut up something that is determined that I don't exist and made it into something beautiful. An autobiography painted with the very words that harm me.

Left out of studies. Abandoned by doctors. There is insufficient data.

This zine contains seven poems. Content warning for cissexist/medical language and brief discussions of sex/menstruation.

The PDF file contains the zine. The TXT file is an alternative for anyone who cannot access the PDF. It is a plain-text transcription of the PDF text including style indicators and an image description of the cover.

Community Copy

I charge money for my poetry because it's really vulnerable to put your stuff out there and I need a little bravery reward. But I still want trans and disabled people to get to read this, and a lot of us don't have much disposable income. You can grab a free copy if you need one. It is free for me to make more copies, if they run out just let me know.
